Holiday home in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – peace and nature
This holiday home was consciously designed as a retreat within a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The design follows the principle of restraint: clean lines, natural materials, and a tranquil color palette create spaces that encourage relaxation and direct attention to the outdoors.
The interplay of wood, textiles, and light is central to the design. Exposed wooden structures, warm surfaces, and expansive windows bring the landscape indoors, seamlessly blending interior and exterior spaces. The furnishings remain minimalist, yet never feel cold – soft fabrics, handcrafted details, and carefully selected furniture and accessories create a sense of comfort and depth.
The rooms are open, flooded with light, and deliberately designed to be calming. Black metal accents create subtle contrasts with the light wood and underscore the timeless character of the house. Every area is functionally designed without sacrificing its airy feel.
The result is a holiday home that blends into its surroundings and is convincing precisely because of this: a place to arrive, breathe deeply and stay – quiet, honest and in harmony with nature.
